Pathway to Pincha Series
This series of practices and lectures was created by Hannah to support you on your path to Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand) but more than that it was designed to educate and inspire you to move intelligently and with purpose. The series includes a welcome video explaining the series, 3 anatomy lectures, 3 asana practices, and 10 short movement drills.
While together these practices provide a pathway to the pose pincha mayurasana, they also stand on their own to support increased mobility and stability in the shoulders and hips and increased strength and stability in the core, to provide anatomical information that can be useful to everyone regardless of their movement practice, and to offer progressive and accessible ways to explore the actions and engagements of forearm stand.
Join Hannah for a short 10 minute lecture on the anatomy of the shoulder with a focus on understanding the muscle engagements and joint actions needed for pincha mayurasana – forearm stand.
Join Hannah for a short 10 minute lecture on the anatomy of the hips with a focus on understanding the muscle engagements and joint actions needed for pincha mayurasana – forearm stand.
Join Hannah for a short 10 minute lecture on the anatomy of the core with a focus on understanding the muscle engagements and joint actions needed for pincha mayurasana – forearm stand.
In this short movement drill Hannah explores variations of dolphin pose including different arm positions and leg variations progressively adding load to the shoulders and arms.
In this short movement drill Hannah explores two variations hopping (straight leg and bent knee with a block), feeling into full weight bearing utilising the wall as a safety net.
In this short movement drill Hannah explores lifting your heel away from the wall to experience a hover balancing solely on the arms while still having the wall as a safety net.
Working With Our Energetics - 4 Part Kundalini Yoga Series
We generally go through life utilising our physical body, but in Kundalini yoga we have nine other bodies and eight chakras which all help us thrive in this life. The workings of our individual Energetics and the 10 bodies are as important as our physical anatomy and physiology in terms of health and wellbeing. Through balancing and strengthening our ‘other’ bodies, we can bring more balance and harmony into our life.
Join Joanna for 4 weeks of Kundalini Yoga starting with the Auric Body (7th body) and journey through the Pranic Body (8th body), the Subtle body (9th body) and the Radiant body (10th body). These classes are suitable for beginners and will involve a seated physical warm-up and seated meditation with some verbal explanation. They will be accessible for all who can find Sukhasana (a comfortable seat)- on the floor, chair or any other form- for 20 minutes.
“Other animals, in a constant and mostly unmediated relation with their sensory surroundings, think with the whole of their bodies.” ― David Abram
7 Day Grounding Series
This series is the co creation of Hannah, Jaspah, Indrani, Jess, Elisa, and Lucia and was born out of a desire to provide a diverse range of daily practices that offer grounding, presence, calm, stability, and steadiness. This series was recorded while in lockdown due to covid, grappling with uncertainty and change, and we hope it provides the opportunity to anchor into your body, steady your breath, connect with the earth and cultivate compassion.
This 10 minute pranayama practice with Elisa is a gentle way to offer ease to your mind and body. This practice invites you to focus on the breath as a container of support for anxiety or overwhelm.
This 30 minute slow flow practice with Elisa offers you a chance to find a slow rhythm within your body and mind. Moving to expand and connect with the breath to support frustration and create expansion.
Join Hannah for a 20 minute vinyasa practice that centers around the hands and the feet, as we explore ways to create a stable foundation to support us in our practice and throughout the day.
Join Lucia for a 10 minute visualisation practice that works with the root chakra by letting go of whatever we need to let go of and creating space for fresh energy to move through.
Join Lucia for a 50 minute somatic groundwork practice exploring our relationship with gravity and the floor through rocking, rolling, pushing, and yielding – recalling the pleasure of moving through sensation.
In this moving meditation with Jess we will focus on the downward pull of gravity that funnels through our skeleton. To support this, we will open up through the bone of our sacrum to allow the energy of our upper body to flow into the earth.
Join Jess for this 20 minute slow flow practise where we will channel the bio directional current of the earths energy through our skeleton. This will help us find more ease in movement and be in the lived experienced of our relationship with the earth.
Join Hannah for a short acupuncture practice exploring 3 points we can use to help ground and calm ourselves, regulate our emotions and move through frustration, and relieve aches and pains and boost our immune system.
Essentials - 7 Day Movement Series
Essentials is a seven day movement series designed by Hannah to provide a comprehensive, functional, and creative asana practice. Each of the seven classes are thoughtfully planned to be practiced in a daily sequence, or could be practiced individually depending on your needs.
This series created by Kristiarne Wilson is inspired by the intention of firstly investigating what are the ingredients that make up deep, compassionate listening and how we could be better listeners both towards ourselves, our loved ones, friends and family – even the people we struggle with and generally the world around us. Particularly we will get curious about the attitudes that I believe make up deep inner listening – Patience, Presence, Curiosity and Loving Kindness.
In this grounding vinyasa class with Kristiarne we will deliberately move slowly as a tool towards discovering or re-remembering you can be patient within no matter the quality of your being.
Sound Sleep Series
Sound Sleep is a mini series designed by Maud Léger to help you fall asleep, sleep through the night and feel refreshed in the morning!
Why? Every major physiological system within the body and every single operation of the brain is enhanced when we sleep and tremendously impaired when we don’t get enough sleep. Yet, almost 90% of Australians report having trouble sleeping, with 30% experiencing a severe sleeping disorder.
There are over 70 different defined sleep disorders either affecting sleep quantity or sleep quality, and the causes of sleep issues are most commonly due to: overly stimulated mind, physical restlessness, laborious digestion, hormonal imbalances, substance/screen consumption that inhibit sleep receptors, or blocked REM sleep.
In this course, you will be guided through slow mindful movement and stretches, paired with self-massage, soothing breath techniques and lifestyle tips to help you sleep soundly through the night.
Before pressing play, make sure you are ready for bed – you have showered, brushed your teeth, you have prepared what you need for tomorrow (ie. schedule, clothes, lunch packed…), turn off the lights in the house, so at the end of class you can slide into sleep.
This elemental series created by Hannah, weaves together the movements of yoga asana, the philosophy of Zenthai Shiatsu, and the energetic wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Each practice explores one of the five elements according to TCM, offering a practical and embodied approach to understand the elements both in the context of the natural world external to us and in the context of our own personal wellbeing – phsyical, mental, and emotional.
